My update today includes information on the following:
LCS Headship Interviews – for all parents/carers.
Data Collection Forms – for parents/carers of students in Year 8.
Year 9 Options – for parents/carers of students in Year 9.
Extra-Curricular activities – for all parents/carers.
Headship Interviews
A shortlist of candidates for LCS Headship from September 2025 has been agreed by the Governing Body and interviews for the post will take place from Wednesday 5th to Friday 7th February.
I will inform all parents and carers on the appointment of our new Headteacher in my next email update, which is likely to be during the last week of this half-term.
Data Collection Forms – Year 8
All Year 8 parents/carers should have received a letter containing a link to a Data Collection Form. It is important that all Year 8 parent(s)/carer(s) complete and return this form, so that we have the most up to date information about you and your child on our system. If you haven’t yet completed this form, we respectfully ask that you do so by Wednesday, 29th January 2025.
Year 9 Options
The Options Choice Forms for current parents/carers of students in Year 9 will be released via Options Online tomorrow, 24th January.
The deadline to complete and return these forms for your child is Friday 31st January.
We hope parents/carers have been provided with enough information to help students make informed choices for their GCSE Options, following last week’s Options Information Evening and tonight’s Parents’ Evening.

Extra-Curricular activities
Several parents/carers commented in the recent Parent/Carer Survey that extra-curricular activities across the school were not publicised enough to parents/carers and students.

Heads of Year and Form Tutors have been asked to display this information for students and to promote available activities during Assemblies and Form Time.
Please encourage your child(ren) to take part in some of our wide range of extra-curricular activities and remind them to check on our website, or speak with their Head of Year, or Form Tutor, if they are unsure of the activities on offer.
