My time at LCS Sixth Form was great in practically every way. The staff make you feel very supported through what is a highly stressful period of our lives: as well as being an empathetic ear during difficult times, the teachers have always been there whenever I needed extra help, whether that's going through tricky topics at lunchtimes or providing more practice questions to help with revision.

All this being said, however, -not to sound cheesy- but more so than anything, I loved my sixth form experience so much because it was a place where I felt comfortable, and happy.

Littleover Community School Sixth Form staff helped me successfully apply to study Physics with Philosophy at the University of Manchester. I left Littleover in Spring 2020, and so despite my experience being cut short I thoroughly enjoyed my time, with the sense of community and staff support helping me through the trauma that is A level study. I really enjoy studying at Uni and the skills I gained at Littleover have made the transition easier, specifically negotiating physics cake days in lessons has helped me befriend flatmates with my improved baking skills. A levels are hard, but survivable with the right help.

I started my time with LCS sixth form off the back of two years of GCSE’s, which were massively interrupted by the Covid pandemic. LCS did everything in its power to give me the best possible opportunities to succeed, despite these setbacks. Throughout A-levels, the online portal, Go4schools made managing homework and viewing grades very straightforward, and meant that all the information I needed to study was easily accessible. LCS Sixth form provided me with all the support I needed to complete my A-levels to a high standard. This included good textbooks and dedicated, approachable, enthusiastic teachers, as well as good facilities and opportunities for trips and competitions.
