Instrumental Music Lessons

We have a thriving music department within the Creative Arts Faculty at LCS. A key part of this is the Instrumental Tuition Programme.

This takes place during the school day with specialist teachers accredited by the Derbyshire Music Partnership or Baby People. LCS takes the safeguarding of students very seriously and only works with external agencies and individuals who can provide evidence of a full, enhanced DBS check and regular safeguarding training.

We have lessons available on Keyboard/piano, guitars (electric, acoustic and bass), singing, drum kit, brass (trumpet, trombone, euphonium, French horn), Strings (violin, viola, cello), and Woodwind (flute, clarinet, saxophone).

The lessons cost approximately £10 per 20 minute lesson, per week. These are invoiced half-termly directly by the instrumental teacher, but there are subsidies for Pupil Premium/Free School Meals and Special Needs to reduce the cost. There maybe the possibility on some instruments (not piano/keyboard) of a shared lesson.

If you wish for your child to be placed on the list for lessons, please fill in the form below.

Please be aware there may be waiting lists for lessons on some instruments. If this is the case, you and your child will be contacted by Ms. Lowe, who handles the admin for the Instrumental Tuition Programme at LCS.

If you have any questions, or require further information before completing the form please email Mr Heywood, Head of Music - m.heywood@littleover.derby.sch.uk
