Good morning, from LCS
Welcome to the second half of this Autumn Term.
I have some brief items I would like to make all parents and carers aware of, in my update today.
School Bus
We have been informed by Harpurs Coaches that the fare for the School Bus will rise to a flat rate of £1-50 each way (£3 return journey) from Monday 11th November. The timings and route for this service have not changed. Harpurs Coaches run this as a private service and LCS does not have any control over increase in fares.
School Production
On the evenings of 27th/28th/29th November, LCS students will be presenting what promises to be an amazing stage production of A Christmas Carol.
Tickets for all 3 performances will be available to buy on ParentPay from 11th November.
We have some incredibly talented students in Performing Arts at LCS and I would encourage parents/carers who have not seen an LCS production to buy tickets this year. It is always a brilliant evening.
Parents Evenings
This half-term sees the first few Parents’ Evenings of the school year take place. As I have previously informed you, we are retaining the SchoolCloud on-line system for most of our Parents’ Evenings this year, but some events will also be held in school.
Parents/carers will be informed of each relevant Parents’ Evening in advance, but please check the calendar on our school website, or contact our School Office via telephone or email if you are unsure of arrangements for your child.
Forthcoming Parents’ Evenings are as follows:
Year 11 – 14th November (on-line via SchoolCloud)
Year 7 ‘Settling-In’ Review with Form Tutor – 21st November (In School)
Year 13 – 5th December (on-line via SchoolCloud)
