Good morning, from LCS.
I have two brief messages for you today, in what is planned to be my last email update of this half-term.
It has been an excellent start to the new school year and students have settled back well into school life.
Our new Year 7 students have settled particularly well this year and are already making excellent progress, so thank you to all parents/carers of our new Year 7 for supporting with this.
Unless anything urgent develops, I will send my next email update at the start of next half-term.
Sixth Form Open Evening
A reminder to all parents/carers of students in Year 11, that our Sixth Form Open Evening is this Thursday, 17th October. The first presentation in the Main Hall begins at 5-45pm, but we would recommend arriving at 5-30pm to guarantee a seat.
Once this presentation is full, parents/carers and students will be directed to attend the second presentation, which will include the same content, at 6-30pm. Parents/carers and students can obviously choose themselves to attend the second presentation, if they wish.
Subject staff will be available to talk to parents/carers and students from 6pm to 7-30pm, in the Sports Hall.
INSET Day
As previously communicated, school is closed to all students for staff INSET on Wednesday 23rd October. Students return the following day, and half-term then finishes at 3pm on Friday 25th October.
Students return for the half-term holiday on Monday 4th November.
