Key Stage 4 Drama

In Key Stage 4 and 5, students continue to develop their skills and follow their passion. They will become theatre makers in their own right and deepen their understanding of key practitioners from a wide range of backgrounds and styles. All of these influences will allow them to create new work as well deepening their appreciation and knowledge of the work of others.

Component One: Understanding Drama

  • Study of one set play from a choice of six.

  • Analysis and evaluation of a live theatre performance.

Component Two: Devising Drama

  • Devising log

  • Devised performance

  • Process of creating devised drama.

  • Students may contribute as performer or designer.

  • Analysis and evaluation of own work.

Component Three: Texts in Practice

  • Performance of two extracts from a published play.

  • Students may contribute as performer or designer.
