Ahsoka: What You Need to Know

So, with the brand new "Ahsoka" series coming later this year, people are wondering what they need to know as movies and TV become more lore focused, whether you are a hardcore Star Wars fan or someone new to sci-fi, here is your comprehensive guide on what to watch before its release (keep an eye out for the bold):

  • Ahsoka first appears in the 2008 Clone Wars movie as Anakin Skywalker's padawan.
  • Later the same year, to audience backlash, Ahsoka came back in The Clone Wars TV series (2008-2014, renewed in 2020) where she became a main character which, as the show progressed, fans became infatuated with. (If you only watch the important parts watch S1 E2-4, S2 E1-3, S3 E7, S3 E15-17, S5 E6-9, S5 E17-20, S7 E6-12)
  • After a large time, jump, Ahsoka next appears chronologically in Tales of the Jedi, a fantastic watch packed with lore, in the very first episode "Life and Death" and the season 1 finale "Resolve" both depicting Ahsoka's life outside the Jedi Order.
  • Ahsoka's next chronological appearance is the season 1 finale of Star Wars Rebels which is worth watching in its entirety. (If you watch only the important parts, watch: S1 E13-15, S2 E1-4, S2 E10, S2 E18, S2 E21-22, S4 E13-16)
  • Ahsoka next made her live action debut in The Mandalorian Season 2 Episode 5, in which Din Djarin requested her help in training Grogu in the force while hunting for a certain blue skinned menace from Rebels.
  • Shortly after, she is seen again in The Book of Boba Fett S1E6, remaining neutral on the issue of Grogu's training with Luke Skywalker.

Optional:

  • Clone Wars Movie (2008)
  • Life and Death

I would recommend watch all of every project mentioned because it makes the general canon flow easier but if you don't have the time, motivation, attention or energy, you can watch everything mentioned in BOLD. Enjoy watching!!!
